Say, Wilful,
Are you sure 'somebody' isn't trying to lie to U.S.?
As in, maybe obonzo needs 'We the People' thinking
everything is just peachy . . . so the FBI lies . .

While folks who really know what is going on are
trying to tell us our society is being stressed
beyond the breaking point?

Here in the IE in SoCal, I just read that during the past year, our deaths due to domestic violence took an enormous jump up. And, the domestic violence itself was also up. So, I wondered what is happening nationally:

Domestic violence is not only on the rise, it is pandemic WASHINGTON, May 21, 2013 - Staggering statistics from the United States Office on Violence against Women (OVW) claim a woman is assaulted or beaten every nine seconds. Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women in the United States. Three women perish at the hands of abusers daily.

Violent crime rises for second consecutive year

A two-decade decline in violent crime appears to have ended.

FBI reports a drop in crime in 2013: why the rate continues to fall
New FBI data confirm a sustained drop in the US crime rate, despite a broader definition of what constitutes rape. Creative policing, better use of data, and community involvement play a role.
Overall reported crime was down in the first half of last year, according to new federal data from more than 270 cities that show declines in all categories except rape.

The overall decline follows a national trend that is 10 years in the making, says Tod Burke, a criminologist at Radford University in Radford, Va. “The trend is downward. This is all good news,” he says.

BUT - as you see from the second story - "crime" overall continues to drop.
We are just becoming more violent.
