The 2nd Amendment wasn't written two hundred years ago to enable the carnage on America's streets in 2014.
...the second amendment is not a gallon of milk with an expiration date.

Civilized people do not prefer guns to the security of their neighbors.
...it's not the civilized people we are concerned about. It's the fricken savages.

Folks can have all the armament they want in the Armed States, but in the Unarmed States they can't have that stuff.
...we already have armed states and unarmed states. The unarmed states have the highest rates of violence.

... The folks most opposed to citizens having guns are those with an unpalatable political agenda who have a strong aversion to any kind of resistance.

This might be indicative of a need to reform our educational and legal systems to make them less irritating to lunatics.

It seems the only way to even attempt to control armed lunatics is to shoot them as quickly as possible, or in the alternative limit them to nerf ball rifles shooting day glow pink cotton bullets.

When the 2nd Amendment was passed Daisy hadn't made it's first b-b gun.

Theoretically, the reduction of mass exchange vis a vis the projectile and the object the projectile encounters would reduce the damage occassioned by the gun which had fired the projectile.

Limiting the mass to that of a cotton ball and the charge to the explosive rate of a squirrel farting, gun deaths would surely plummet.

Imagine a surgeon extracting a cotton ball reeking of squirrel gas from the chest of the victim?

If 50,000 Americans were impaled annually with fart besotted cotton balls surely The Congress would act.

Prudence dicatates you can't kill everybody running around with a gun. A delightful idea to those less violence prone, I suspect.

Even in the states with the most lenient of gun laws, homicide is strictly controlled.

Homicide control in lieu of gun control might not be a perfect system, but controlling homicide is a sneaky way to attack homicide by pistol.

If some sexually dysfunctional geriatric thinks he has to sit in his living room coddling a .38 between his legs to protect himself from the bogeyman and the kids smoking dope and listening to loud music next door, society has to step up to the plate and tell the old man he can't sit with a gun in his lap.

The 2nd Amendment wasn't written two hundred years ago to enable the carnage on America's streets in 2014.

Civilized people do not prefer guns to the security of their neighbors.

Obviously the best solution is the devolution of the Union to the Armed States and the Unarmed States.

Folks can have all the armament they want in the Armed States, but in the Unarmed States they can't have that stuff.

Half of America can fight violence and the other half can fight gun control.

I wonder which one the Founding Fathers intended?
