Isn't that headline a bit moronic…

"Consumer Spending in U.S. Unexpectedly Falls as Incomes Slow"

How can it be unexpected for people to reduce their spending when they have less money to spend? Or are todays 'experts' so deluded that they've completely forgone all sense of logic and/or understanding of the economic realities facing the average American today?
