Ah! those were the days. Bush's Commerce Dept described Iraq as a blank slate, open for business for American companies. They urged us to get our feet on the ground in Iraq. Everything was open. There was no Iraqi government. Everything would be done under the auspices of the U.S. military. The joyous Iraqi people welcomed us as liberators. Wall-to-wall BurgerKings and Wal-Marts all over Baghdad. Free Iraqi oil for everyone. It was a Neocon Wet Dream.

Then the grateful Iraqis started hurling bombs at us.

And if this action had not been taken and even one of those embassies had been attacked and an American killed, the Right would claim that it was Benghazi all over again.

And if you want an example of someone's 'abilities', one which eventually caused the death of thousands of Americans, you only have to go this far:
