And the alternative is...
Telling our military families that they are going to be in combat in perpetuity?
Continuing to forgo things like fixing the infrastructure of our own nation so that we have the resources needed to continue to destroy the infrastructure of some other country?
Making the plight of our veterans even worse by continuing to add to their ranks while cutting the resources needed to treat their wounds and to help them cope with the consequences of their service?
If we manage to destroy our country by other means, how is this not also a win for the Taliban?
Knowing the history of Afghanistan, we're better off sitting back and letting them destroy themselves rather than staying there while destroying our future as well.
