Yes, '60 Minutes' ran a piece several years ago on how a bunch of small to medium sized American companies were literally encouraged by Sam Walton to expand and make capital investments based on continuing to do business with Walmart but after he died, virtually all of them lost those contracts, forcing most them to shut down.

...Wally World used to be a great place to work and to shop when Sam was alive. Yer probaly in denial about it but Sam had a big "buy american" campaign. Then Sam died and the bean counters took over on behalf of the estate. Walmart is now headed down the road of Kmart, Zayres ect.
