“Put into laymen’s terms, the solar panels capture the sun’s energy, but pull on the sun over time, forcing more energy to be released than the sun is actually producing,” WIT claims in a scientific white paper published on Wednesday. “Imagine a waterfall, dumping water. But you aren’t catching the water in buckets, but rather sucking it in with a vacuum cleaner. Eventually, you’re going to suck in so much water that you drain the river above that waterfall completely.”

Weco,
You really need to re-think what you find 'newsworthy'.

First, note that the entire amount of energy on this
planet, is but a tiny drop in the bucket compared to
what the Sun produces.

Second, even if you made a 'giant vacuum' and sucked
up all the water going over the falls, you will still
not be able to suck up any more water than is currently
coming down the river.

Third. The sun is going to put out the number of
photons it feels like putting out. Regardless of
how many the solar cells 'sop up'. The sun doesn't
care whether the photons get absorbed by the earth,
or find themselves traveling out of our solar
system.

Given that those photons were emitted from the sun
some eight minutes ago . . .

How long does it take for the Sun's light to reach us?

Cornell University

Jun 18, 2010 - The sun's light takes about 8 minutes to reach the Earth after it has been emitted from the sun's surface.

Solar Panels Drain Sun's Energy

"This week, a scientific research facility in Wyoming made a startling discovery that is certain to change the way millions of Americans look at the environmentalism movement, after they found conclusive evidence that solar panels not only convert the sun's energy into usable energy, but that they are also draining the sun of its own energy, possibly with catastrophic consequences far worse than global warming."
