Hi Zim:

Sea ice around Antarctica has spread over an increased area recently, but sea ice is only a small fraction of the Antarctic ice sheet. The reasons for the increase of sea ice doesn't appear to be related to temperatures. Ice loss of the West Antarctica glaciers also doesn't seem to be caused by changes in air temperatures.

Filthy Neocon Scum love to use the increase in sea ice to hide the truth and mislead their winger audiences. See currents, wind, and warmer ocean waters for increase of sea ice and increase in glacial melting. There may be other factors in play. Climate is complex.

KTC,
I don't know where 'they' got their data from . . .

But, between those global warming 'researchers' who
got stuck in the ice down in Antarctica . . and
this site :

http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/why-is-antarcticas-sea-ice-growing-as-temperatures-rise-180947775/?no-ist

This past September, at the end of the Southern Hemisphere’s winter, the extent of Antarctica’s sea ice reached 19.51 million square kilometers, breaking a 35-year record that dated back to the start of data being collected in 1978. (In comparison, from 1981 to 2010, the average extent on the same date was just 18.5 million square miles.)

Ya need to learn to ask . . who's lying? And, Why?

Zim.
