...no, not "exactly" the same laws would apply to primaries as would apply to general elections, why would you say that republicans are against the laws applying to their primaries when they would actually apply. The purpose would be to prevent folks from crossover voting. (Voting for an unacceptable candidate in the opposing parties primary)

Exactly!

and since no republicans scream about the way primaries are counted (well maybe until 2014, since the republicans screwed up on counting several important primaries, giving the win to Mitt instead of Rick or others)
why do they complain about the general election?
