So your argument of yielding barely one goal a
game is reinforced by the fact they yielded over
2 goals a game.........?????

The only relevant fact concerning the top four
is we beat them 6 out of eight times and drew
twice........you could only dream of that...Smile

that's almost a relevant statistic, at least.

but it only reinforces my argument. maybe you want me to restate it. against top teams away, chelsea plays a miserly kind of football that is dull to watch and yields about a goal per game.

against non-top teams, he adopts different tactics. hence the average changes. but even then, chelsea's average of 2.22 is around 20% less than the premier league average. while the other top teams easily exceed it.

putting your general away goals performance figures another way, by my count chelsea's away matches have yielded 41 goals, liverpool's have yielded 72, man city's have yielded 58, arsenal's have yielded 60. it's pretty dull fare. and chelsea's goalie reveals it is deliberate.

so basically, the theory is amply supported by the figures and the anecdotes.
