ha ha. the tabloids report the reality pretty well. everyone sees chelsea park the bus away from home. or two buses, as rodgers describes it.
parking the bus is a great strategy for nullifying the opposition and the entertainment.
on average, there are 2.76 goals per game in the premier league.
in chelsea's six away games against teams down to seventh position, i think seven goals were scored. only just over one per game. parking the team behind the ball except for counterattacks is dull stuff by any standard.
good try there by including chelsea's home results. ;-) it's the negative away tactics that i was observing. the one where 10 chelsea players stand in the penalty area and invite the other team to shoot from distance. waiting for a mistake to pounce on.
and it won't even win chelsea the league. because they have a poor record against weak opposition. that is, when they are required to create things for themselves.
but it does require a special set of skills to defeat chelsea's away strategy.
