I Thessalonians 5:14

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

Would you have forbearance and indulge me to make a comment upon this DEEP scripture please?
Notice if you would, the last part of it,

"be patient toward all men".

This is a command. It is not written as a request.
It is a command I struggle with. I must daily be in prayer asking God to please grant me the patience I need to have toward all men, especially the unsaved.

They can be rude and crude, fou mouthed, insensitive, know it alls, and full of themselves. They think they are better than everyone else, (and if you are a believer and have this attitude, you had better ask God for forgiveness of your sin of PREIDE because it comes before a fall), and often times angry or bitter .

I have et several people like this in my new vocation.
These things should not be found in the life of one of GOD's own children though. Christian means Christ Like. How was Christ?

PERFECT in every way. Never unjustly angry, humble, meek, low minded, loving, caring about the needs of others more so than HIS own needs as a man.

If we possess these MARKS of CHRIST in our walk, we are then showing the unsaved Jesus Christ and being an example of the believers, taking Christ to the world, which we are commanded to do.

So you see, sometimes in one verse of scripture, there is much to consider, instead of our ususal cursory reading and never stopping to meditate upon it.

God bless you richly in your daily walk.
