I live in a small town. There's a hill in town where they put a water tower at the highest point. I guess sometime in the 1920's it was considered a fact that water ran down hill.

The atmosphere is a fluid.
This atmosphere of gases and suspended solids.
A flowing liquid mass that wraps the earth.
It has a depth.
It has a reflective capacity.
It is constantly in motion.
These are not idle suppositions.
These are not politically driven thoughts that have been created out of the ethers. This is fact.
This is reality. Denying fact and reality defines idiocy.
Water vapor reflects light.
The sun gives off light.
The son answers your prayers.
Going forward, if you take the oil of a whale's ear and burn it in a lantern, you will have no significant effect upon the atmosphere.(Even the Ear Oil of Five Hundred Whales)
However, if you mine coal in the Midlands and discover "oil" (liquid coal) in Pennsylvania, you will fuel the Industrial Age and pump thousands of tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Not to mention that if a tribe of pygmies in the forests of Amazonia burn down as much land as in Ukraine every year, near ChinNoble, you are going to change the reflective capacity of the little blue planet, Our Earth.
When you change the reflective capacity of the atmosphere of earth you change the temperature of earth.
That nations of Earth, the same planet with the fragile atmosphere I speak of, have accepted the facts and the science and the reality of human effect upon the atmosphere is something you understand by starting with Rachel Carson.
We are a component of a living earth and we are destroying it for the future.
