here's a lot of crossovers, when I was chasing my COP (Coil On Plug) issues last year, I could buy either Delphi or Visteon COPs for my Ford... Pretty much identical, I used half n half, and a spare on the shelf.. Pricing was interesting, from $17 each to $84 each, take your choice, same product!

Part of the manufacturing game is to have multiple suppliers, keep the lines running..

Delphi used to be part of GM but it's been a separate company for years (it's not even American anymore, it's now a British company). It was created by combining together a bunch of smaller GM subsidiaries like Delco, Rochester Products, Hughes Electronics, etc and forming what has now become a holding company for many, something like 120+, smaller independent operations around the world. Like I said, these parts could have come from almost anywhere. And GM is not the only people who've done this. Ford spun of Visteon and even Toyota spun off their own components business forming a company called Denso. We sell our software to all of them as well as most of the OEM's.
