hi doma,

it's an expression of how the world usually works, as opposed to the fancy words.

there's no equality between nations of different sizes.

but like the melians, we can still aspire to our high values rather than submitting to a purely pragmatic view.

i can continue to want ukrainian self-determination and the rule of law even as larger powers contrive their arguments around them.
