fortunately i write my own posts and say the things i wish to say. rather than getting someone in to make my posts for me as they wish to characterise them.

it seems you take offense that someone thinks torture and holding prisoners in legal limbo is wrong - because america! and that invading iraq was a good thing - because america! and that obama is right - because america! and that ukraine can go hang - because america!

usa. usa. usa.

anyone who points these things out must hate america. bad person pointing out these things. it's anti-american to disapprove of bad things done by america. go nsa.

i get it. you are just going to interpret my ideas through a chauvinist lens. play the patriotic card as if it has any value in figuring if the policies make any sense. presumably it doesn't occur to you that a person who disagrees with policies is going to oppose them and those who are responsible for them.

i am just as happy to oppose torture or secret rendition or spurious justification for invasion when tony blair or david cameron promotes them as when the us does. but that doesn't mean i hate my own country. i hold it to high standards because i have high expectations for it. higher i think than many politicians. guilty of idealism perhaps. although personally i think having values and meeting obligations and avoiding mistakes makes a society strong.

and of course, you are not going to justify your position. you probably have no idea what france, germany and the uk are doing or can do. you are not going to expand on your ideas. you don't have anything to say about how to deal with putin except "not us". "not us" seems to be the entirety of your idea for us policy with putin. perhaps that is why you avoid trying to justify it. there's no there there.

instead, what matters to you is loyalty to a flag.

you are to america what a wavoid is to wave. are you snackman in disguise? ;-)

I asked a simple question, you respond with personal attacks? Now now.

Your long soliloquy makes clear that you are demanding action by a country you hate.
Bush is bad.
Cheney is bad.
USA in Iraq is bad.
Obama is bad.
USA in Syria is bad.
USA in Libya is bad.
USA with Japan and China is bad.
USA news is bad.
USA policy is bad.
The USA is the land of the free and the home of the brave, but not really.
The USA is weak.
The USA is unimpressive.
The USA uses feathers.
The USA is damaged.
The USA is not very courageous.
The USA should look in the mirror.
The USA is aggressive without cause.
The USA offers little support to their allies.
The USA is bad. (I added this one.)
Why in the world would you be concerned with a country you feel has no redeeming values except for their military budget?

Very strange. That's a real love-hate relationship you have there.

Since you have said that a good chunk of nato is impotent (France is a surrender monkey; Germany "has a small budget for defence and a constitution that requires it to avoid military adventures" and is someone you don't want to be armed; the UK doesn't have the influence or scale) then why not dissolve nato? It's a pretty useless organization by your statements.

I'm not concerned with your agreement. But, your obviously duality is fascinating.

PS. I still love your cuts on the French. "French fries", that's a classic.

PPS. "bush i was way better than bush ii and obama on foreign policy." Absolutely agree.
