Rand is much more political savvy than his dad.

He knows he needs others, so he helps McConnell, even though he's not his 'cup of tea.'

He hits a sweet spot wrt spying & ease dropping. He's opposed to bombing any country the neocons would love to.

In many regards I think he's fresh blood for the republicans, even though he's NOT one, he's more a Libertarian. Its his only hope to get close to the Oval.

I don't think he would garner many minority votes, or women if Hillary runs. He might win younger voters, but you can't count on them to vote. He might lose older White voters, because of his stance on foreign affairs.

That's my take at this time.

You guys follow this stuff all the time, so whatta you think - who is more conservative - Rand Paul or his dad?

" How Rand Paul can win the 2016 presidential nomination It's not a slam dunk. But it could definitely happen."

I saw he gave a speech at Berkeley, of all places - and got a standing ovation. Of course, his speech did sorta pander to the crowd, so maybe the standing O not much surprise.
