The ending of the credibility of the US Federal Reserve is the only thing that would generate hyperinflation.
Hyperinflation is rare. Only times I know of it occurring in the last century was Weimar Germany (post WW1 and unaffordable reparations) and Zimbabwe (nutter in charge).
You must be expecting an asteroid strike.
Re inflation - I mentioned three inputs for an inflationary environment. Consumption, labour, house prices. The UK economy isn't booming, it has high unemployment etc. So still a way to go before inflation becomes an issue.
