hi doma,

i read that there's nothing in the budapest treaty between ukraine, the uk, the us and russia that obliges anyone to do much of anything except to recognise ukraine's borders. russia is in breach. but there's no remedy that requires the us and uk to fight a war. it wasn't a nato-like document.

Hi Alea....

About a third of European gas supply is pumped
through Ukraine....Putin has held Europe hostage
before by turning off this supply in winter.

Also there is a 1994 treaty in which Britain and the United States guaranteed Ukrainian borders......
