You do realize that it is summer time in the Southern
hemisphere this time of year, don't you?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/6679082/Climate-change-this-is-the-worst-scientific-scandal-of-our-generation.html

This is what Mr McIntyre caught Dr Hansen doing with his GISS temperature record last year (after which Hansen was forced to revise his record), and two further shocking examples have now come to light from Australia and New Zealand.

In each of these countries it has been possible for local scientists to compare the official temperature record with the original data on which it was supposedly based. In each case it is clear that the same trick has been played – to turn an essentially flat temperature chart into a graph which shows temperatures steadily rising. And in each case this manipulation was carried out under the influence of the CRU.

Apparently you have no idea what Lake Superior looks like. It's hardly "totally froze over", but a fair amount of it is. And as I've said before, the operative term is 'CLIMATE CHANGE'. And don't forget, the Midwest and East Coastal areas makes-up a very portion of the Earth's surface. I'll bet that the people in Australia would debate you as to whether we're experiencing 'Global Warming' or not:
