I'm not OCU but perhaps I can enlighten you on "those democrat congress critters" and why they voted for the Iraq invasion.

During the period after the 9/11 attacks, there was a surge of patriotism in the country. Playing on that fact, the George W. Bush team put together a series of lies involving weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Hussein. Those lies and distortions are well known at this time so I don't have to go into them for you. But, for your benefit, here is one among many links that will enlighten you about the lies: http://antiwar.com/blog/2013/03/18/911-and-iraq-the-wars-greatest-lie/

Cast against this concerted effort to mislead the American people and the world, it was very difficult to vote against the resolution to launch the attack on Iraq. So many Democrats joined the Republican majority in both houses to authorize the war effort that very soon got under way.

Among those who opposed the war was a Democrat state senator from Illinois named Barack Obama. Another among the many who opposed the war effort from the beginning until the day of the attack was a financial analyst posting on Raging Bull's Dollars and Sense board named Joe Taylor.

Nothing much has changed since the pre invasion period back in 2002-03 among some folks. You know all of these facts but you still perpetrate the lies that the right puts out to try to cover up the so obvious history that they are trying to rewrite.

Have a nice day!

Joe Taylor
