The rise of sea levels is a fact.

...no it isn't. With the movement / rise and fall of continental shelves, what would you measure the increased sea levels against? Are you measuring the rise /fall of the sea level or the rise / fall of the continental shelf? Are you measuring from the tops of waves or from the bottom? Ten inches of snow is equal to one inch of rain or melted snow. How much would you have to have at the polls to raise the sea level? There just isn't enough to do the job. Further, the polls are not melting.

Defining science by what you know as opposed to defining it by what others know is called stupidity.

...defining science by what you know as opposed to defining it by what others who have an agenda say is called brilliant.

The politics of global warming is well known. Politics won't make a difference either way unless man's activities that influence it are moderated.

...the politics is indeed well known, but generally denied by the left. Global warming is the new home of one worlder left wing radicals all over.

Warm water takes up more volume. A greater volume of water raises the sea levels. Global warming is a fact. It is not a convenient fiction concocted with a political agenda that might differ from your own.

...so why is it that when warm water gets into a crack in your driveway and freezes it expands and breaks up the concrete??? The truth is that from it's melting / freezing point water expands in either direction. Saying that something is a fact does not make it a fact. It takes proof and there is none.

As an expanding percentage of the human population lives in coastal areas the issue is not one of a lie being told. It is one about how science can be used to seek a solution.

...they don't want a scientific solution. They looking for a politically correct way to control people's lives. Fear of the global warming boogeyman is their chosen tool. Every solution proposed by Al Gore and his possee shift wealth from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries and simultaneously make Al rich.

The greenhouse effect is fairly well understood.

...those who understand it don't agree. This argument is like saying "Everybody knows" or Leading scientists everywhere agree" or a "recent report says". It implies agreement and acceptsnce without a shred of proof.

That which is inconvenient to you or distasteful to you or uncomfortable to your politics is a personal matter. It is not science.

...and that which is convenient, tasteful or makes your feel warm and fuzzy about your politics is not science either.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Good Afternoon Zimbler!

Hard to figure out what the article says is not happening.

The rise of sea levels is a fact. It isn't something that will be determined by one disgruntled scientist measuring water levels.

Defining science by what you know as opposed to defining it by what others know is called stupidity.

The politics of global warming is well known. Politics won't make a difference either way unless man's activities that influence it are moderated.

The greenhouse effect is fairly well understood.
The effect can only be studied by observation and computer modeling.

I am not too impressed with a college professor criticizing computer modeling. Computer modeling is a late 20th Century adaptation to the scientific method.

Denying that human activity has effected the climate on the planet is Luddite denial of reality.

That which is inconvenient to you or distasteful to you or uncomfortable to your politics is a personal matter. It is not science.
