There are droughts, extreme shifts in weather patterns and other things being created by global warming that are not always directly attributable to it.

...all of this has happened before. Nothing new under the sun sportfan. Somewhere between 7000 and 10,000 years ago the middle east was a tropical jungle and what we now call New York City was under a mile of ice. The only thing that is constant is change. There is no such thing as a predictable long term weather pattern. Manmade global warming is nothing more than a political power grab. If it were real, someone would have proposed a solution that did not have the primary result of redistributing wealth.

Ribit,

Temperature is behind much of what is going on weatherwise in the world but there are many indirect correlations also going on. There are droughts, extreme shifts in weather patterns and other things being created by global warming that are not always directly attributable to it. And then there are some normal weather oddities that always go on from time to time. The problem is that these so called normal weather oddities are occuring much more frequently than they used to and that is the result of global warming and the resulting climate change that it is causing. The world needs very predictible weather patterns to thrive, survive and live and the predictibiity from year to year is getting more difficult to predict and some of the advanced predictions do not look very promising for the future.
