business, or should I say, engaging with prospective clients is going well. Better than I expected and better, I AM LOVING IT.
Everyone I go and see and spend some time with always has me working on something for them.
I have a lot of irons in the fire right now and in various stages of process. A lot of it is getting your foot in the door and helping solve some problem they are having and usually it is a small annual volume but when you prove you can fix their problem and do it quickly at a fair price, you will get more opportunities to bid on the larger things they all have.
I have about 8 active clients right now. I am keeping our LAB busy. I have another new large corporation I am seeing on Wednesday about 40 miles from me. This should be interesting.
I really like the small guys though. Always have. I love taking care of the small accounts because they are the ones who appreciate you saving them money and helping to grow their businesses. In the long run, as they grow, so do you. I never forgot this simple principle from my manufacturing days. It is how I was successful there. Nice to have a home run once in a awhile, but I like a lot of eggs in the basket and delight in just being able to lend some of these folks my decades of engineering expertise and finishing expertise. Passing it on........
So, yes, from start to finish it does take some time to finalize due to the matching we do at the lab, the samples we need to make and get tested by the clients for approval and then there is the pricing. Of course, they need to use up what material they still have first also.
But, when it begins to break free, look out......
I have three pages of prospects that I have not even called yet. I still have the large Department of Defense contractor I will be providing engineering and product finishing to coming up ahead.
Those are done deals. Just waiting on the gubmint to get him going.
Winter? Snow generally doesn't bother me. The ice storm we had you can keep... I still have four inches of ice from last week lining my driveway and we got another five inches Thursday night of wet snow followed by another inch this morning. My yard is about 14 inches deep in snow and ice. You can walk on it and not break through there is that much ice on top of the snow.
How about YOU ArVee? Could you put to use a GTX 460?
