"Now if someone could figure how to control and enhance whatever occurs when the placebo effect happens"

It's an extraordinary phenomenon only if you
believe in a solid material world where mind
cannot effect "matter" & mind exists only within
the physical body.

As you know i see the placebo effect as proof
the material world is an illusion, how could it
possibly exist in a physical matter reality universe?

I think it's a product of the PSI Uncertainty
Principle rather than intelligence......

There are two main rule sets in our reality.....
one for the Hard sciences such as measurements
of "physical" matter & one for the soft sciences
such as medicine and medical procedures.

In Hard science such as the measurement of the
speed of light the uncertainty principle is very
low, measured in the decimal places or rounding
errors......whereas in soft science the uncertainty
can be very high measured up to 40%(placebo).

Belief and Intent can then be used to modify
that uncertainty......

Hi doma,

Indeed. The placebo effect is real. And that is why medicines only get approved (at least theoretically) if they do better for patients than sugar pills.

Now if someone could figure how to control and enhance whatever occurs when the placebo effect happens, then we'd have a whole new branch of medicine.

That is, in my model. In yours, I know that it's an illusion, so I'm not sure of the implications.

It sure is an extraordinary phenomenon. It sorta has to be a product of intelligence, doesn't it?
