OCU> More Right-wing talking points, eh? The original 'free phone' program was approved by Ronald Reagan and it was George W. Bush that signed the law expanding it to include 'cell phones'.

http://blog.heritage.org/2013/11/24/obamaphones-rife-waste-fraud-abuse/

Free cell phones for low-income Americans, one of the fastest growing welfare programs in the United States, is—by the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) own admission—rife with “waste, fraud and abuse.” And who is paying for these free Obamaphones? If you have a phone subscription, you are.

The program, officially called Lifeline, predates Obama’s presidency but has earned the colloquial name “Obamaphone” after nearly tripling in cost since 2008.

More Right-wing talking points, eh? The original 'free phone' program was approved by Ronald Reagan and it was George W. Bush that signed the law expanding it to include 'cell phones'. Obama had nothing to do with it. Besides, as the Cheney/Bush-recession caused more people to fall below the poverty line, the 'free phone' program was automatically expanded to include these people. This was a feature built into the original law the St. Ronald agreed to some 30 years ago.
