She is going to appeal, so for the time being, the extradition issue is moot,, but beyond that - if the highest Italian court upheld this recent verdict - there is noo way that an American Secretary of State would honor an extradition request. I even doubt that the Italian government would allow the Request to go forward.

I don't think the U.S. will extradite her, even though we have an extradition treaty with Italy. There is a constitutional amendment against double jeopardy which should protect her from extradition after a third trial. At least, that's the argument I would make if I was her lawyer.
