Yep. That is my point. Trust in the values of liberty and the rule of law. They are more robust than the protections of the surveillance state.
This is the big fight we've been having continuously for a thousand years (or if you have no history, since the Nazis). Once again, history reveals the opposing forces of the state and individual liberty, (with a few intermediary passengers along the way, such as the church and merchants).
It is worth the fight.
