Surprise surprise...the House which once claimed they would have laser-beam focus on jobs (remember that?? evidently they don't) has passed HR 7 which, among other things, can make women subject to audit by the IRS if they were raped.

We have two chances to kill this thing...the Senate and a POTUS veto. I'm not totally confident about the Senate (this issue does cross party lines somewhat). But I do think Obama would veto, and I doubt Congress could override.

One of its most controversial provisions could actually require the Internal Revenue Service to conduct audits of rape victims.
Why? Because HR 7 eliminates medical-expense deductions for abortion care, essentially raising taxes on the women who opt to have an abortion.
