My first honest to god personal type computer . . .
Was a Mac SE. With dual floppy drives.

First one RAM upgrade. Then a second RAM upgrade.
Then an internal hard drive. Followed by an external
hard drive. (SCSI.)

I remember strange things happening when I lost the
SCSI bus terminator . . . an experience which helped
me to trouble shoot a problem at work once . . when a
similar 'bus' which required terminating lost its
termination.

Note that original 1984 128K Mac had a higher price tag than does today's biggest 'Mac'. Granted, in 1984 you got a monitor, keyboard, mouse and printer, but then in today's dollars that was still more than twice what this new Mac costs.
