Note that original 1984 128K Mac had a higher price tag than does today's biggest 'Mac'. Granted, in 1984 you got a monitor, keyboard, mouse and printer, but then in today's dollars that was still more than twice what this new Mac costs.

We bought our first 'Mac' in June 1985, when the 512k 'Fat Mac' was introduced.

This was our first computer 'set-up'. I still use the desk for my current home office but the 'Fat Mac' has been put away in the attic in it's original box (perhaps it will be worth something someday as it still works but the dot-matrix printer was junked years ago).
