...the tax thing that annoys me the most is the regressive nature of social security taxes. The less you make, the higher the percentage rate ya pay.

...take a look at this chart. Scroll down to Average Social Insurance Tax Rate. In 2009 the top 1% pays 2.5% and those in the Lowest quintile pay 8.3%. I know that the lowest quintile take more out than the top folks do, but there are folks taking out who haven't put in a dime. IMHO, the cap should be removed. It has the middle class paying for everything.

Yep, and they've been doing it for years...

The government is already redistributing the wealth, when they tax dividends and capital gains at rates less than wages earned by daily labor, or allowing tax havens to exist where the wealthy can avoid paying tax altogether. Or for bailing out the banks where it appears that most of the money when directly into the pockets of investors and executives.
