The way to kill an existing WU and not get it right back again is to eliminate all traces of it and the place where they hide is invariably in the AppData folder a couple layers deeper than that. Depends on what ver of Windows but it's generally in Users/(administrator or one of the Users)(sometimes then /Programs but usually not/AppData/FahClient/Work/then a couple or up to a few numbered folders, as in /00 /01/ /02 Look in the log.txt file (or variation on that name) within those numbered folders for the log that matches where your client had progressed to. Once you find the right numbered folder, delete that whole folder. Bye bye all traces of that slot so that WU can't be sent right back to you. I'd say 3-103 ppd for a year on a machine that could otherwise do good science is sufficient grounds to deviate from project guidelines.
And I'm sure I must have misread it, I know you have better judgement than this, you didn't say something about zooming or something did you? I'm sure I'm just so tired that I was hallucinating or something. I've decided that's grounds for not having to kill everybody though, just in case you did I would want everybody around to see just how foolish it is to talk about zooming anywhere in any proximity to me, silly silly girl.
