And you notice that the statistic only covers murders. What about all the accidental deaths and suicides, and it's even possible that not all homicides were considered 'murders'. After all, to be considered a 'murder' I think there had to be intent. In other words, if the death occurred during the commission of another crime, technically it might not even be considered murder.
