Yes, those that are mourning the loss were in on PPs that most investors were not allowed to be a part of. So, are they mourning the loss of a religious leader or the loss of the favors that the religious leader bestowed on them?

One thing about investing in Wave. It was a religion. It was based on a belief in some future thing for which there is little or no current evidence. A yearning even.

So what happens when the leader of a religion like Wave is sacrificed?

Well, the leader's most rabid disciples promote the true faith. They see the loss of the leader as a form of unjustified martyrdom. They imagine the leader's resurrection. They mourn the loss of the flow of information from the source of truth. They see themselves as the bearers of the flame of righteousness. They shake the dust from their feet amongst those who see a different sort of significance in the leader's loss.

Is there an obvious parallel to Wave that I am missing?
