Why would someone like Jay Carney, who holds a DAILY press briefing, have a need to even call a press conference? I suspect that CNN just used incorrect terminology. Every where else that I've seen comments about what Jay Carney said today, it only mentioned it as a 'press briefing', something that he does virtually EVERY DAY.
