Thanks, ArVee!

All three of these would have started after 7:00 p.m. I know I had one earlier also, but then when it finished, the next work unit was different - I think all of them were - when I went to bed last night - they were back to their normal 70,000 + points for Hollywood, 50,000 + points on Kitt, and Baby Blue showing up at 61,000 points for sporting her newly installed upgrade from the 260 that she had had.

That's part of the frustration - I was quietly going to zoom back into the lead again after yesterday morning's installation of a new power supply so I could install a 660 ti in Baby Blue. Power supply has to sit on top of her as there's not enough room for it in the case once the video card was installed - but hey - there's nothing wrong with that - at least she was purring away. Then this morning I wake up to find all 3 were slowed down with the 8018s. So my dreamed of impressive zoom went down the tubes. Oh well - pride goeth before a fall. (sigh)

Meanwhile - back at the church, Dreamer was turned off - likely got turned off Tuesday following a funeral and someone not realizing she's supposed to be left on - but she's back up and running now.

I was going to ask if there was any way to kick out a specific work unit without affecting the other one running. Kitt has one on his CPU that started out saying he would average 3 points a day on it for the next 323 days to complete it - that's now been reduced to just over 10 days for something like 108 points per day

I'm heading in to see what Hollywood picked up this round - she was just about finished with her 8018 and should have started a new unit by now.

Sun :-)

Sun, you got these after around 7 pm Eastern last evening? If so, then yes, get the beta flag back on, yes, that was one of my 'tricks', darnitall, otherwise leave it off. You're different than everybody else I've read reports from at the other place, as well as own experience, anything after 7 last night on a qualified machine was an 8900. I *did* have a single exception on the second unit a 465 tried and I handled it with Trick 2 as per below.

If you DO get another 8018, there have been reports of patterns needing to be broken, i.e. once you get into a groove with a certain server, it tends to keep you there. The administration at the other place roundly denies it, but I've seen it myself. The way to break the established pattern, or at least try, is to set the Finish flag (right click on the slot) for the 8018 so that it stops after finishing and sending the current 8018, then pause your other slot (so you don't lose it where it is) and exit and quit F@H. Re-start it and past history has shown me that the pattern is broken.

Good Luck. And if you get another one, I'll show you something I try to avoid at all costs because it's bad for the project, but I've had the reason to use once before, how to dump an existing WU in a way that you don't get it right back again. If you repeat this, I'll of course be forced to kill all of us immediately. Naughty
