New Study Tells You How You Vote Based on What You Drink

Want to know how likely someone is to vote and whether they support Republicans or Democrats? Don’t ask them their position on the issues. Ask them what they drink.

This is the surprising finding of a study conducted by the National Media Research Planning and Placement. The study found that partisan voters are likely to prefer distinct alcoholic beverages, and that high-propensity voters are more likely to drink certain spirits than others.
Democrats, the study found, are more likely to drink high quality vodkas while Republicans will usually opt for whisky. But the study also found that alcohol preferences corresponded closely with turnout patterns. A voter who drinks wine is far more likely to turn out on election day, for example, compared to a voter who prefers beverage like Jagermeister.
