I don't think so.
Worse, high taxes are a price worse than the disease.

Taxes are a necessary evil to get the necessary levels
of government services.

Taxes so's corrupt politicians can steal money and
reward their friends is a terrible thing.

Government 'providing' for a high standard of living
for folks who do nothing to support the society . . .
By stealing money from the folks who do work hard to
support the society . . . If that is the 'price for
liberty' . . I'd rather shoot somebody.

(It ain't liberty when I gotta work to provide
half wits with a higher standard of living than I
can afford.)

What about Social Security and Medicare, you have to pay for that? They appear to be 'mandates', so how is that they're not unconstitutional? Or would just as soon do away with those programs as well? And then there's auto insurance, most states make that mandatory as well.
