I believe Bill mentioned lowering rates at least twice....if it reduced the cost of doing business...i.e.- consider legal expense avoided when do a deal/rate.

My favorite question was about the (lack) of a poison pill and what would they do if an approach was made...Bill said the Board would of course review any "approaches"...the question was prefaced by a review of how cheap we were net of cash....

Loop,

I have always wondered how far off the rates IDCC is asking vs what they are willing to pay. Were getting close to the point where the legal fees will surpass the royalty money going forward especially if the 868 case goes the way of the CAFC. At this point I don't have a problem accepting less for rates. The share count is at 40M we would reduce expenses significantly and even a modest 350-400M in recurring revenue would bring us a nice $5 EPS which even at a P/E of 10 would get us to $50.

Unfortunately now where we are I don't see why the infringers would pay now even for lesser rates, they have won twice here in the US courts which is why I believe it all rests now on the 868 case to get infringement.
