Paul Ryan finally admitted today that the sequester was a Republican idea.
Earlier today Paul Ryan bragged that since the sequester cuts were only reduced by 30% that this meant that the Republicans got 70% of what they wanted versus the Democrats getting only 30%, implying that his original goal was to have left the sequester untouched. Well that seems to settle the argument as to who exactly was it that wanted the sequester in the first place. This completely explodes the Right-wing talking point that it was the White House and the Democrats who dreamed-up the sequester and that it was only done to get the GOP to negotiate, but then the Republicans called their bluff and it became law. Let's see what the winger-media has to say about this.
