...after he was outraged that last year's 'dinner' cost a whopping 68 cents, so this year he promised to get the costs under control to a more acceptable level. Note that the his department CHARGES the inmates (or their families) a dollar a day to cover the two meals that they get while in his jail and when you consider that there could be as many as 10,000 people in his jail on any given day, this could prove to be a very lucrative 'business' to be in.
