I knew that the United States, and I assumed some other Western nations as well, had agreed to purchase this material so that it wouldn't be laying around where the wrong people might get a hold of it, but I assumed that it was simply going to be stored away somewhere safer. Which I guess begs the question, where did the fissionable material that was recovered from OUR dismantled weapons go? Is that what makes up the other 50% of the fuel being used in US commercial reactors today?
