And I wasn't referring to racial/ethnic mixing. I was referring to a mother/father in a respectful, lasting relationship (If the man chose his mate wisely, and cares for her tenderly) providing lasting security for whatever children might be born.

I was speaking more from a cultural/ethic point of view. While my wife and I are pretty much of solid European stock (she's Welsh and Polish decent while I'm Flemish and Alsatian) our oldest son's wife is Korean and German/American and our middle son's wife was born and raised in Mexico (but legally immigrated here after graduate school and has since been naturalized). However, son #3 didn't stray too far as his wife is also part Alsatian as well as English.
