I was speaking more from a cultural/ethic point of view. While my wife and I are pretty much of solid European stock (she's Welsh and Polish decent while I'm Flemish and Alsatian) our oldest son's wife is Korean and German/American and our middle son's wife was born and raised in Mexico (but legally immigrated here after graduate school and has since been naturalized). However, son #3 didn't stray too far as his wife is also part Alsatian as well as English.

The Traditional American Family is a quaint artifact. Men might be becoming them also. Who needs a strong, male presence in a modern family? And men don't need families depending on them to help them become responsible adults. Look how well fatherless families have thrived in the ghettos. The sperm donors do well also.
