The House represents the "People" and the Senate represents the "States".

...it used to be that way before the constitution was amended to make Senators elected by popular vote in the states. Used to be that U.S. Senators were appointed by the governors of the States. Coincidentally there was no such thing as an unfunded mandate.

The House represents the "People" and the Senate represents the "States".

The Filibuster should be the exception, not the rule.

The cabal of antithetics in the Senate that has decided that supermajorities are required for appointments is antithetical to democratic rule and the necessities of government administration in this Republic.

If super majorities were required I am damn positive Jefferson and Adams and Monroe would have jotted them down at the Constitutional Convention. They didn't.

The Great Compromise created the greatest legislature in human history, the Congress.
The Filibuster only debases it.

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Union Forever
