micro,

Computer ran for a while then repeated boot failure. Inserted Windows 7 CD. "Repair your

computer." "Restore your computer using a system image you created earlier." Next, "Windows

cannot find a system image on this computer."

"Search for a system image on the network." Here I got stuck. Went back.

"Startup Repair." That failed. Message: "DEL to enter setup" or ESC to enter boot menu.

Entered CMOS Setup.

Did nothing. Entered Boot Menu. Chose to boot from CD. Windows started loading files.

Chose English language.

Booting from CD. Windows is loading files. Selected English. Repair your computer. Select an operating system to repair. Selected Startup repair. Failed. Selected System Restore. Restart computer to select an operating system. Apparently there is no Windows 7 on this CD.
Maybe I should give up and try to install XP.

micro,

I let the computer cool down for a day. Then on bringing it up this time it installed some driver and hopefully is in good shape again as folding is going. If things go bad again I will do as you say as I did find a Windows 7 CD. Don't know why this happened unless it was the driver. My keyboard is a little flaky.

Not sure how you are going to run machines at the plant. Didn't you say a new job is in the works?
