I think it's important to get disaster relief monies on scene visibly and immediately so that victims gain a sense of reconstruction optimism rather than wallow in destitution. All international monies are welcome.
The U.S. has a special relationship with the Philippines. I'm pleased to see our tardy response being strengthened. Good time and place to wave the American flag in lending a helping hand rather than wrecking countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine.
