OCU may remember that here in California, many moons ago, up in, I think it was San Jose - in a city council race - there was a very similar situation.

A white man named Mr Black ran against a black man named Mr White; I forgot their first names. Mr Black openly campaigned as a black man(even tho he was actually white); his claim was that blackness was a state of mind and he had always felt black. Mr White(the black man) obtained a copy of a legal document showing Mr Black as white or caucasian. This was sent out to all the voters in flyers and also run in the local newspaper.

Well, Mr Black lost the election.

Similar situation as the recent one - but a different outcome.

...are ya saying that black folks aren't smart enough to know the difference? Sounds pretty racist to me. You should get some sensitivity training.
