You seem to have no feel for nations that are desperately trying to alleviate dire poverty through some industrial development, and Americans trying to decide between a 48" and a 56" made-in-China flat-screen TV.

...how many Chinese are making a living manufacturing those televisions? Would it be better if they sat in their hovel and we just raised taxes here and sent them the money???

An estimated 300 million Indians still don't have electricity.
